Racha Yai Island
"Racha" means king and "Yai" means large in Thai. Located south of Phuket, it can be reached in about 40 minutes by speedboat or 1 hour 30 minutes by diving boat. It is popular for both snorkeling and diving, featuring relaxing white sandy areas with scattered coral. During the rainy season, when the west winds blow, visibility on the east side improves, offering diving conditions comparable to the Similan Islands. The island also has the 5-star The Racha resort and another hotel, making it perfect for a relaxed island stay.
