Koh Khai is located east of Phuket, about a 20-minute speedboat ride away. The Khai Islands consist of three islands: Koh Khai Nai with its white sandy beach, Koh Khai Nok, and Koh Khai Nui with towering rock formations. "Khai" means "egg" in Thai, so it is also known as Egg Island. Among locals, it is sometimes called Cat Island (Ko Maeo) due to the many cats living there. Koh Khai Nai and Koh Khai Nok feature beautiful white beaches, and the surrounding shallow waters are home to vibrant coral, making it perfect for snorkeling.
