Kamala Beach stretches about 1.5 km and is located north of Patong Beach, beyond the hill.

Coming from the north, follow the road south from Surin Beach, cross Cape Sin, and you’ll arrive at Kamala Beach. Compared to the busy Patong and Kata Beaches, Kamala offers a more authentic Thai atmosphere, making it a hidden gem favored by Europeans.

Budget guesthouses are scattered along the beach, often fully booked during peak season. Renting a motorbike allows you to explore Phuket without staying in Patong or other crowded areas.

Guesthouse rates generally range from 300 to 1,000 THB per night. Motorbike rentals cost around 150–300 THB per day. Heading north and east from Kamala Beach eventually leads to Phuket Town, an old town that was the capital in the 18th century, where historical traces can still be seen. Nearby is the famous "Heroines Monument," commemorating the defense of Phuket against Burmese invasions—worth a visit if you have extra time. Restaurants and travel agencies are located slightly inland, often run by Europeans who fell in love with the island. Even small shops often serve authentic cuisine. Nearby is Phuket’s largest theme park, Phuket FantaSea, popular with families and couples.

Phuket FantaSea – Popular Amusement Park

Phuket FantaSea is a nighttime Asian theme park famous for its shows featuring dozens of elephants.

The park showcases Thai history and culture, guiding visitors into a captivating Asian world. Before the main show, visitors can enjoy street performances, take photos with elephants, and even ride them. You can also wear traditional Thai costumes for souvenir photos.

At night, the Fantasea Show begins in the 3,000-seat grand theater, "Palace of the Elephants." The show impresses from the opening, thrilling the audience with high-tech, fast-paced performances. Featuring illusions, magic, SFX, aerial acrobatics, and 150 performers—not to mention 30 elephants, tigers, water buffalo, goats, chickens, and pigeons—the show is a unique spectacle.
