Makoto Otsuka (Mako)
He left his corporate job at the age of 25 and came to Koh Samui, then continued diving extensively around Koh Tao, the Similan Islands, and other regions in Thailand. Despite being the company president, he often sneaks away on cruises, leaving his family and staff behind. In recent years, he has expanded beyond the Similan Islands to conduct adventurous tours to places like Komodo, the Andaman Islands, and Zenzhu near Kozushima. He has a taste for the unusual and adventurous.
Masahide Ito (Masa)
After graduating from a leisure-focused vocational school, he immediately became an instructor in Koh Samui. His career progressed through Phuket and the Similan Islands, becoming a reliable and skilled guide. Fluent in Thai, he is popular with locals of all ages and known as a charming guide. A big animal lover, his badminton skills are at a national-level standard.
Ryota Kawagoe (Ryota)
A native HOBO-YA staff member who started as an instructor right after the shop opened. After experience in Ishigaki Island, he returned to Thailand. With extensive diving experience in Phuket and Koh Tao, he is a skilled guide for the HOBO-YA group. His gentle and attentive approach is highly praised by customers.
Juna Iwata (Juna)
When she experienced fun diving at HOBO-YA, she was inspired by the cheerful staff and decided to join the team. After becoming a certified instructor, she now manages the Koh Tao branch. Her bright and charming smile makes her the shop's beloved standout staff member!
