Racha Noi Island Season

Phuket has two main seasons: high season from November to April, and green season from May to October. During summer, the Indian Ocean is influenced by the monsoon, which can cause high waves on some days, affecting offshore dive site conditions. Racha Noi Island’s western side, northern tip, and southern points offer a dynamic underwater landscape with large rocks resembling Similan Islands. Manta rays, spotted eagle rays, and whale sharks are sometimes seen, making it an enjoyable dive site for both beginners and advanced divers. The west side of Racha Noi Island features calm bays with scattered white sandy points, allowing beginners and returning divers to enjoy relaxed diving. You may encounter leopard sharks resting on the sand, and macro observation is also enjoyable at these points.

Racha Noi Island is located further south than Racha Yai Island, about a 2-hour diving boat ride from Chalong Pier in Phuket.
Among the dive sites around Phuket, it offers spots with a high chance of encountering manta rays for intermediate to advanced divers, as well as many points suitable for beginners. It is a popular island for both fun dives and introductory dives.
