The main transportation options from Phuket Airport to various areas on the island are as follows:

1) Book an airport transfer through your hotel
2) Reserve via a travel agency or ride-hailing service
3) Apply at the airport taxi counter upon arrival (private taxi or shared minibus)
4) Use a rental car
5) Use the Smart Bus (bus stops are mainly along the west coast beaches)
6) Use the Airport Bus (no stops along the beaches; operates from/to Phuket Town)

Shared minibuses may wait until all seats are filled, and passengers are dropped off at each hotel in sequence, so travel time to your hotel is unpredictable. For those who want to save time, booking a private taxi in advance is recommended.

The Smart Bus and Airport Bus only stop at designated stations, so additional transportation is needed from the stop to your hotel or destination. If you are unfamiliar with the area, have a lot of luggage, or if it rains, these options are less convenient.
