Beginner to Advanced Depth:5M~25M Visibility:10M~25M Current:Weak~Strong
Located about 25km east of Chalong Bay, Phuket, and approximately 1 hour 30 minutes by dive boat, this island was designated as a marine protected area by the Thai government in 1992. The dive site consists of three large limestone pinnacles, only one of which breaks the surface. Numerous smaller rocks around the pinnacles are covered with colorful soft corals and sea fans. Dense schools of glassfish and cardinalfish make this site one of the richest fish habitats around Phuket. Four species of anemonefish inhabit the site, and on rare occasions, whale sharks may appear. Tiger sharks, from which the point gets its name, are commonly seen on sandy areas. Maximum depth 24m, visibility 10m~20m. Suitable for beginners to experienced divers, although strong currents around full and new moons make it more suitable for intermediate divers. Currents flow parallel to the pinnacles, offering excellent drift dives.
