James Bond Island (Koh Ping Kan)
James Bond Island is located in Phang Nga Bay and became famous as a filming location for the James Bond movie "The Man with the Golden Gun." Over time, natural erosion from rain and waves created the towering limestone formations seen today. In Thai, the island is called "Khao Tapu" (Nail) because the main rock formation resembles a nail sticking out of the water. This popular spot is visited daily by many tourists and is often included in sea canoe tours.
