Elephant trekking is a popular activity for travelers in Thailand. Phuket has many elephant camps and riding tours, but the Sea View Elephant Camp is famous for its location atop a hill with stunning sea views. After participating in a 30-minute elephant ride, you can enjoy thrilling activities on-site such as ZIPLINE through jungle cables with harnesses, and riding an off-road ATV through the jungle. This tour is perfect for those who want to make the most of their time.
As you will be riding elephants, comfortable clothing is recommended. Women should wear pants rather than skirts. The camp has dirt paths, so sneakers or sandals that can get dirty are suitable. Sunscreen is advised on sunny days. At Sea View Elephant Camp, you generally don’t need to spend money, except for elephant food, tips for mahouts, or drinks at the shop, so please avoid bringing large amounts of cash, passports, or valuables.
There is no strict age limit for the Sea View Elephant Camp Tour. Elephant rides are usually double-seated, so children who can sit safely on their own may participate. Some foreigners carry infants while riding, but for safety reasons, we strongly advise against this. Participation for children is at the guardian’s responsibility.
The Sea View Elephant Camp is located in the Chalong area of southern Phuket, on the way up the Big Buddha Hill, overlooking Chalong Bay. From the elephant riding area, you can trek up the hill on elephants and enjoy panoramic views of Chalong Bay. It is about a 30-minute drive from Patong.
