Kata Beach offers the best diving environment in Phuket. The reef stretches east to west from the shallow shore to offshore areas, featuring tropical fish as well as occasional sightings of sea turtles and Napoleon wrasse. Beginners and divers returning after a break can dive here with confidence. It is also popular among photographers who want to spend time exploring and capturing macro subjects. Beach diving is ideal from November to April during the dry season.

Kata Beach is located on the west side of Phuket, featuring a long white sandy shallow beach. With a maximum depth of about 10 meters, it is ideal for beginners, trial dives, courses, and half-day dives. Beach entry diving allows divers to adjust depth according to their skill level, providing a stress-free experience. The white sandy seabed hosts juvenile gobies and schooling shrimpfish, popular with beginners. Offshore coral reefs are home to dense schools of glassfish, lionfish, barracudas, and juvenile snappers, as well as other rare species, appealing to advanced divers and underwater photographers. From May to October, waves may be high during the rainy season, but the dry season offers calm conditions with visibility around 10 meters. Kata Beach is also suitable for snorkeling, so both divers and non-divers can enjoy the area together.
