Playing golf surrounded by nature is one of the greatest pleasures of the sport. In southern Phuket, you can enjoy tropical golf unlike any in Japan, with blue skies, clouds, lush green fairways, white sand bunkers, ocean views, and sea breezes.

Generally, resort golf courses are more expensive for green fees, caddy fees, and cart rental, but the atmosphere makes the experience worthwhile.

Phuket has multiple golf courses, and many golf enthusiasts play at several during their stay.

When golfing in Phuket, it is recommended to start early because it can get very hot during the day. Using a golf cart is also an option for those playing in strong sunlight. Strong sunscreen, hats, visors, and umbrellas are essential.

In Thailand, golfers usually play all 18 holes without a long lunch break. Refreshments and light snacks can be purchased at huts between holes.

Each golfer is assigned a caddy, whose income relies on tips. It is customary to tip around 200–300 THB per person after the round.

Blue Canyon Country Club

The most famous golf course in Phuket. It has 36 holes divided into the Canyon Course and the Lakes Course, hosting international tournaments like the Johnny Walker Classic. The course offers top-quality maintenance, skilled caddies, a clubhouse, and luxury restaurants. Green fees differ between the Canyon Course and Lakes Course, with the Canyon Course being the highest-priced in Phuket.

Laguna Phuket Golf Club

A golf course located in Laguna Beach with high-end hotels nearby, including the Banyan Tree Resort. Complimentary shuttle buses run from most hotels to the golf course, making it convenient for guests. The course is simple and straightforward except for a few sections.
