Phuket Sightseeing Guide

Phuket has its own zoo. Although smaller than Japanese zoos and with fewer animals on display, visitors can get very close to the animals and enjoy animal shows, which are extremely popular with children. Families with kids will find it a fun visit.

The Phuket Zoo features a large crocodile enclosure, where around 4,000 crocodiles are crowded together, creating a truly impressive sight.

Elephant shows, unique to Thailand, are also a highlight. You can watch elephants playing the harmonica, playing soccer, and performing tricks. The zoo also houses monkeys, tigers, camels, and more. There is even a mini-aquarium, allowing families to spend several enjoyable hours inside the park.

Elephants walking around the park and water buffalo in cages that seem easy to jump over create an exciting closeness to animals that cannot be experienced in Japanese zoos.

There are also monkey and crocodile shows. Visitors can ride elephants or take photos with tigers.
